Welcome on my website! My name is Amelie Mentz (she/ her). As a freelance midwife, I am happy to support you during pregnancy and in the first weeks of postpartum. My approach is based on individual and sensitive care at eye level, whereby I focus on understanding and taking into account your needs and wishes as best as possible. In my work, I attach great importance to evidence-based advice and share insights from early childhood development psychology to support you in parenthood. I look forward to getting to know you and accompanying you on your journey.

About my career

I was born in 1997 near the Schlei in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany and grew up in a small village. After graduating from school in 2016, I moved to Hamburg and began studying at the University of Hamburg. I dropped out after two years to become a midwife. So I started my training at the Uniklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf in 2019, which I completed in 2022. In 2023, I also finished my B.Sc. in Midwifery. Since autumn 2022, I have been working as a freelance midwife in Hamburg and offer support during pregnancy and the postnatal period.
