Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga

Pregnancy and the postpartum period are transformative phases full of change – physical, emotional, and mental. Yoga can help you find strength and relaxation during this special time, stay connected to your body, and consciously prepare for birth and the time afterward.

My advanced training in prenatal and postnatal yoga has shown me the value of a mindful, gentle, yet empowering practice during these phases. In my classes, I place particular emphasis on nervous system-friendly movements, trauma-sensitive guidance, and space for authentic experiences.

Prenatal yoga helps you stay physically flexible while remaining relaxed. It supports the nervous system, creates inner peace, and can help you consciously prepare for birth—both physically and mentally. It also deepens your connection with your baby.

Postnatal yoga allows you to gently rebuild strength at your own pace. The focus is on strengthening and relaxing the pelvic floor, relieving tension from breastfeeding, babywearing, and lack of sleep, as well as taking moments of self-care—with or without a baby.

My classes are designed for all bodies – regardless of yoga experience or physical condition. There's no pressure to perform, but rather a practice that supports the individual.

I look forward to accompanying you on this journey.

My journey with yoga

Here you can find my current course offerings. Participation is only possible with prior registration. I look forward to your registration! Please send me an email to info@hebammeamelie.de with your desired course, first and last name, and due date/date of birth.

Yoga has been a part of my practice for many years and is much more than a physical practice for me – it's a space for balance, connection, and authentic being. The holistic effect of yoga touches me on all levels and supports me in living life with greater mindfulness and presence. My training began with the 200-hour yoga teacher training at Pranaluz, followed by prenatal and postnatal training at Unit Yoga. My own practice and teaching are constantly evolving, inspired by body-based mindfulness, trauma-sensitive approaches, and exercises that support the nervous system. Yoga is for every body – regardless of shape, flexibility, or previous experience. It's not about achieving perfect postures, but about approaching yourself with respect and curiosity. In my classes, there's no room for forced positivity – but all the more room for authenticity, self-awareness, and the ability to listen to your own body. For me, yoga is a way to gently connect with myself, release tension, and grow at my own pace. I look forward to sharing this journey with you!

It's important to me to teach yoga with respect for its origins. Yoga stems from a millennia-old, deeply rooted tradition in South and Southeast Asia and is more than just physical exercise. I recognize that yoga is a spiritual and cultural heritage that cannot be viewed in isolation from its origins.

My goal is to create an inclusive, open space where everyone feels comfortable – regardless of background, beliefs, or experience. I am always willing to continue learning and expand my knowledge with sensitivity and respect.
